Missions

Believing God’s mission field begins here in Montgomery, Texas, and extends around the world, North Shore Church commits eleven percent of our total budget to support mission projects, as determined by our Missions Team. Additional funds are given by members and friends to aid in specific projects. As a church, we are committed to share the love of Jesus at home and abroad.

CASA DE LUZ (Dominican Republic) - Casa de Luz means House of Light and is the bright star in the lives of 40 severely disabled children in the Dominican Republic. Born into poverty these children were neglected with no one to care for them. At Casa de Luz they receive medical care, nourishment, physical therapy and a loving family. Local government and partner churches, along with individual donors and North Shore Church, share in the support of these children and the House of Light. PACN (Pregnancy Assistance Center North) located in Montgomery County, Texas, is a Christian non-profit pregnancy medical center that empowers and educates regarding pregnancy and sexual health issues. Open since 1987, PACN provides no-cost services to thousands of women and men each year. Gift Direct: www.pacn.org

 

 

Piercing Word (Lancaster, PA) The mission of Piercing Word is to ignite passion for the Word of God in the heart of the church by performing scripture word-for-word in compelling dramatic presentations in order to challenge and encourage people to memorize God’s Word. They also offer Summer Theatre Camps, Spring and Fall Discipleship Teams and workshops on memorizing the Bible. Gift Direct:  www.piercingword.org

 

Under Over Mission (Conroe, Texas) - Following instruction from Matthew 25, Under Over Mission feeds the hungry and quenchs the thirsty by sharing the gospel and meeting basic life needs. Their food pantry serves meals provided by local churches, such as North Shore, on Sundays at Heritage Place Park and Wednesdays at the Mission. Under Over Mission has also established a clothing closet, as well as provide free laundry and shower facilities. They have a transitional work program called The Way that strives to help men get on their feet and right with Jesus. The men of The Way and the women of Christy’s House make Underling crosses in all shapes and sizes that are sold in retail stores like Lifeway Christian and Books-A-Million stores across the country. Gift Direct: www.underoverfellowship.com 

 

Village Schools International (Tanzania, Africa) partners with people in African villages to help them build schools for their children. They then send missionary teachers to live in those villages to get so involved in the lives of the students that sharing the Gospel is the natural result of loving them. They work towards the day when all children in every village in Africa, no matter how poor their parents are or if their parents are deceased, get the chance to go to school.  Gift Direct:  www.villageschools.org

Eurasia Missionary Group - A multi-dimensional missionary movement engaged in Christian evangeilsm/discipleship ministries throughout the Eurasian continent and beyond.  

Tyndale Theological Seminary (The Netherlands) is an interdenominational, evangelical seminary that prepares students for ministries as pastors, teachers, missionaries, church planters and denominational leaders around the world. Dr. Derek Bass, Associate Professor 

TLC Food Pantry- Founded in 2001, the vision of TLC is to unite and mobilize the members of local churches to reach out to the hungry and hurtiing. They beleve that it is the heart of God to love people not only in word, but also in deed, and demonstrate their faith by investing time and energy into the community. Several churches partner in collecting and taking food to their location in Willis, Texas. 

Journey Home- A Christ-centered nonprofit Maternity Home existing to encourage and empower the women that walk through our doors to live the lives God intended for them to live.
